MHFA Training Courses
The 12-hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course is delivered over 2 days from 9am to 4.30pm with a 1 hour lunch break. You will learn how to assist an adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan.

The MHFA Workplace is in an online format & involves 2 course components.
Component 1 - A self-paced eLearning component (takes 5 hours to complete). This component must be completed before attending the Zoom session.
Component 2 - Consists of a 5 hour Instructor-led Zoom session.

Refresher courses are a 5 hour course delivered online via Zoom from 8.30am to 1.30pm (SA Time)/ 9am to 2pm (EST) that allow people who have previously completed a 12 hour Mental Health First Aid course to refresh their knowledge and skills. For people who are Accredited MHFAiders, the refresher courses offer an opportunity to extend their accreditation for a further 3 years.
